The Aragon Government has received the first favorable court ruling against the transfer of a migrant minor from Ceuta. The ruling annuls the transfer due to lack of motivation. The vice-presidents of the Aragon Executive, Mar Vaquero and Alejandro Nolasco, have appeared together to inform of the ruling. Vaquero has highlighted that the ruling 'annuls the transfer of a minor due to lack of motivation'. 'That transfer was carried out with criteria not sufficiently justified, arbitrary, which left the autonomous community in a situation of indefensibility', he explained. The ruling orders the procedure to be retrograded, requiring the reasons for the transfer to Aragon to be justified. The other party has 15 days to appeal the ruling. Vaquero has insisted that 'the Spanish Government fails to uphold the principles of equality and solidarity and violates the rule of law to protect the rights of foreign nationals'. 'The Spanish Government is using unaccompanied minors, in a situation of vulnerability, as a bargaining chip to try to please their independentist partners. This is what we have denounced from the Aragon Government. For us, the interest of the minor has always been the priority. The interest of the Spanish Government is to defend the interest of Pedro Sánchez', declared the vice-president. For now, the minor remains under the custody of the Aragon Government, until the ruling is final. On the future of the young man, Vaquero has insisted that the DGA 'will comply with the ruling' whatever it says, whether 'retrograde to the previous moment', that is, that the minor is not in Aragon, or 'if it says that the minor stays, we will apply it too'.
