The talent of women's football in Ceuta continues to take giant steps. Four players from the CD Puerto youth team have had the opportunity to participate in the trials organized by Cádiz CF Femenino, held at the Ciudad Deportiva El Rosal in Cádiz. The selected players by their coach, Juande Cazorla, to attend this experience were Azahara Cajal, left back; Jadiya El Oirghi, who can play as left winger or attacking midfielder; Ahlem, attacking midfielder; and Noor, central defender. The participation in these trials was always subject to the voluntary decision of the players themselves. On this Wednesday afternoon, we were able to chat with two of the protagonists, Azahara and Jadiya, to get to know their experience in Cádiz. Noor and Ahlem were outside the city. During this meeting at their current team's field, the president of CD Puerto, Paquirri, and coach Juande Cazorla were also present. The young players explained that it was their coach who informed them of the possibility of participating in the Cádiz CF Femenino recruitment process. "Our coach sent us a message saying that Cádiz was looking for girls to do trials and strengthen their teams. We signed up and then the club started sending us emails with all the information about schedules and training location", explained Jadiya. Both she and Azahara agreed that they did not hesitate for a moment when they received the news. "We said right away that we had to do it because this opportunity may only come once in a lifetime. Although we may not be taken, we have already lived an incredible experience and are proud to have tried", they said. In turn, Juande Cazorla explained the reasons why he chose these four players to attend the Cádiz CF Femenino trials. "Seeing the qualities of these girls and the work they do every day, I understood that they deserved this opportunity. It's a reward for their effort and an experience that can help a lot with the growth of women's football", he said. The coach also highlighted the virtues of each of the selected players. About Noor, he assured that she is "one of the best players" of her category in the city, highlighting both her sporting level and her behavior. From Azahara, he highlighted her education, intensity, and competitive ability since she arrived at the team. Regarding Jadiya and Ahlem, Cazorla emphasized their versatility and offensive talent. "They are players capable of acting in several positions and have a high level. I always tell them to keep studying and working because opportunities come when one does things well", he said. Without further ado, we delved into the experience that these four Ceutians lived in Cádiz, at the Ciudad Deportiva El Rosal. "When we arrived, the Cádiz players received us and showed us the locker rooms. Then we went out to the field, gave a few laps to warm up, received a talk from the coordinator and the coach, and started the exercises with the ball", explained Azahara. Subsequently, they performed various exercises and friendly matches with the Cádiz CF Femenino players.
