The second round of the Spanish Club Championships of Futsal Base left a positive balance for the Ceuta expedition thanks to the victories achieved by CD Puerto Sub-10 and UA Ceutí Sub-16. CD Puerto played a very solid performance in the María José Calero-M4 Municipal Pavilion in Alcorcón, where they defeated CD Salesianos with authority by 3-10. The Caballa team showed a great offensive effectiveness from the first minutes of the match and maintained a high competitive pace during the 40 minutes. Manuel Santiago opened the score in the 3rd minute, starting a goal-scoring festival that had Yaser Al Lal and Guillermo Sedeño as main protagonists. The first scored four goals, while the second scored three. They also contributed to the victory Manuel Santiago and Cristian Díaz, who completed his performance with a double. The victory confirms the excellent form of a team that is leaving a great image in the championship. On the other hand, UA Ceutí Sub-16 achieved an important victory against Rusadir CF by 5-7 in the Príncipe de Asturias Pavilion in Murcia. The match was marked by equality and continuous alternations in the score, although the Ceutí team demonstrated a notable capacity for reaction in the most complicated moments. After starting behind, the Caballa team remounted thanks to the goals of Hugo León, Aitor Bermúdez and Taysir Abdelkader. Although Rusadir took the lead again in the second half, UA Ceutí responded with character and determination in the decisive stretch. Hugo León, author of a notable triple, was key to sealing a victory that maintains the team's aspirations intact in the competition. Beyond these two victories, the rest of the Ceuta representatives faced demanding commitments against some of the best teams in the national panorama. In the Sub-12 women's category, Ramón y Cajal Féminas closed their participation in the group stage with a narrow defeat by 5-3 against CD La Espiguera Femeninas, in a match where Yannat Mohamed, Naila Chaib and Maryam Mustafa scored. AD Ceuta FC Sub-14 men's team fell by 7-3 against Colegio Claret CD in Seville. Jaime Fuentes stood out with two goals, while Rafael Peña completed the Caballa's scoring. Also, AD Ceuta FC Sub-12 men's team competed with intensity, facing FC Barcelona in the Joan Gamper Sports City, but lost by a narrow 2-1. Karim Mohamed Hicho was the author of the Ceuta goal. Finally, Atlético Ceutí Sub-14 women's team could not overcome Arealonga FS Chapela in Galicia and fell by 9-1. Nermín Bouzaid scored the only goal for the Caballa team. The Sunday match will put an end to the group stage for most of the Ceuta teams. With several decisive matches still to be played, the Caballa expedition faces the championship's closing with the illusion of continuing to compete at the highest level and continuing to show the talent, effort and commitment of Ceuta's futsal base.
